Tingling in head?

Hello. I was wondering if anyone ever gets tingling in their head. It’s been happening more often for me lately and it’s freaking me out. I envision a new lesion forming on my brain every time it happens. The best I can describe it is similar to what it feels like when a limb falls asleep. Maybe it’s bacteria dying off? I can only hope so.

Yes, I was getting the tingling on my scalp - mine was on the back of my head.

It has stopped now...hopefully the treatment has made that happen.

I get that tingling on the side of my head and my lips also--occasionally. I also notice it feels like I am walking on small stones
sometimes or like I can not walk a straight line. (Shoot me please!)

I had tinglingin my head, scalp but has stopped for a year now or more. Now just deal with occasional headache, horrible tinnitus and sinus issues.

Akkami, I also get that tingling on my scalp as well. My tongue used to tingle but has stopped for almost a year. I think it is "normal" for us Lymies!

I also get the tingling in the scalp. I think it is bartonella.

Bartonella is the one that messes with the vascular system. You get a slight constriction of the capillaries. This reduces the amount of blood flow to the scalp and you get tingling. The scalp already has a pretty fine mesh work of capillaries so it is easily affected.

Thanks everyone. I tested negative for all coinfectors except Mycoplasma. It was through IgeneX as well.

tingling on the top of my head and head pressure are biggies for me and a slight balance issue . Along with many other symptoms.

Akkami, are you sure you don't have Bart? I hear out of all the tests the bart test is the least reliable.

Chances are very high that this is Neuro Lyme. The tingling suggests that it's in the nerves, so neuro Lyme just makes sense - especially if the tingling happens in other parts of the body.

Thanks everyone. It's possible I have Bart, though I am missing some of the more common symptoms. My LLMD is not so attentive and when I suggest things like this it seems to go right through him. I definitely have neuro issues. My sense of touch is greatly diminished throughout my whole body, I have shaking, tremors, visual issues, and emotional swings among other things.

I have a phone appt on 8/20 with a renowned Chinese herds specialist. I have a lot of hope that he will be able to address my neuro issues better than the abx have so far. I know someone who treated Lyme with his guidance and she is a lot better than when she started.

(Back story: I have had Lyme for 10 years, found out I might have it a year ago then got a positive test result 6 months ago.)

I was in a car accident 2 years ago where a truck going at least 45 mph smashed into my stopped car at a red light. Right when my head hit the headrest after flopping forward I got tingling in the back of my head. Then as time progressed I started getting tingling in various parts of my head and then on my cheeks. When I saw a neurologist he didn't know why my head would be tingling then said it was probably from a concussion. Every other doctor I have seen was always puzzled as to why my head tingles and I couldn't find anything about it online-- until now. I guess the tingling is from Lyme disease! My tingling was definitely brought on by the car accident though.

A few months ago the tingling decreased in strength, duration, and frequency. And I think the cheek tingling is done. I don't know why the tingling got better. Maybe it is because I made my diet 100% clean and started detoxing. I am assuming it will get better after I start treatment in 5 days.

I don't think the tingling is die-off since for me it happened when my disease was at its worse.

Maybe I have bart too? I will look up the other symptoms for it.

I get the tingling on the side of my neck up into my ears too, if you find anything out please let me know. it concerns me as well

I'm getting it now as well after taking my doxy and zith, near my frontal lobes where lesions are at. Im worried as well if its a good or bad thing...
