I've had trouble sleeping if I do one within a few hours of bed, but never felt jittery or had any other problems. My dr advised the caffeine can have some effect (though not as strong as drinking coffee) so advised not to do before bed. I'm guessing what you're feeling is detox, but also be sure to stay hydrated since they can dehydrate you as well and that could make you feel weird.
