Need LLMD in Albany, NY

Hi. I've been ill for 5 yrs. I'm 43 and have symptoms of anxiety/panic (for no reason), brain fog, poor memory, insomnia, weakness, hair loss, low energy/lethargy.....

All my tests came back normal, even Lyme!

I don't recall ever being bitten by a tick, or having a rash. Interesting though, my dog was diagnosed with Lyme 6 yrs ago.

I switched doctors and new doc ran IGeneX test. I had several positive bands and some IND. (and many negative). New doc feels I have Lyme or associated infection and wants me to see a lyme specialist from ILads.

The ILads doc near me charges $925 for the first visit, $425 for second visit, and $250 for each additional 20 minute visit every 4-6 weeks during treatment .......and does not take insurance. Does this sound right? How do people afford this? How do you find a good LLMD who does take insurance?

I need a good doc near Albany or Saratoga, NY. Any suggestions?

It just stinks that after being told that it was all in my head for 5 yrs, I finally get an answer, but cannot afford $925!

I found the "New to Lyme" link very informational. All of my symptoms are on the list.

I thought that $925 for an initial visit was terribly high. Maybe it's because his office is an hour or so from NY City. Still......that's nuts! I'm curious to know what others pay, if they are willing to share that info. I'm hoping that someone can suggest another doctor in my area that might be more reasonable.

So far, I've been treated for hormone deficiencies. I do feel about 20% better. (DHEA, cortisol, thyroid, testosterone, and progesterone). I've been on those for about a year. I'm hoping if I get treated for Lyme, it will make me the remaining 80% better!

According to my IGenex lab report, I don't have Lyme.

IGM: 18+, **23-25 IND, **31+, **39 IND, **41+, **83-93 IND

IGG: **31 IND, **39 IND, **41 ++

What do you all think? Should I see a LLMD?
