Cd-57 is up but not way up

Got my Cd-57 results back after a retest. I'm at a 61 now from a 47. Also got my Brain spec results back everything is normal.

My LLMD and I are a little unclear on the next step I should take. She wants me to get a culture test done but I don't have $600 right now. The only thing I never treated was babesia so I bought some artemisinin and have been taking 200mg twice a day and I don't know if it's in my head but I think I feel a little better??? No idea where to go from here any suggestions?

Well I got my CD57 results back too...

I went from 36 (original test back in February) up to 37
( testing in mid-August).

What are you remaining symptoms.  I think that is definitely good news about the SPECT scan.  Question is, how do you feel?

Also you said you tried coming off the antibiotics and the symptoms started to come back.  Which symptoms?  Was it Bartonella or Lyme symptoms that came back?

All I have left for symptoms is dizziness, muscles pain every now and then, chest pain and sleep disturbances. Also ear pressure and floaties

I've been off abx for two weeks now no difference in symptoms

Good for you Tbrown!! Congrats! And congrats on being off of all abx for two weeks with no symptoms returning!

I would agree with your doc - as soon as you can get the funds for the PCR testing. It could turn up something.

What about trying out Buhners' full Babesia protocol to see how your symptoms respond?

I'm waiting for results on the CD57, what should the 'normal' number be?

If memory serves the range is 60-350 but one is considered to have better immune system function if CD57 is at least 120. Use SEARCH function here and look for 'Lyme CD57' and you should find a number of threads discussing the CD57 range.

That's why I'm confused as to why my LLMD said 60 was normal.. I'm like isn't 60 the worst you can have but still be in range

Did LLMD say normal or in range cause technically it is in range at 60, the very bottom of the range, but many do not feel well at all at the low levels. Sadly these tests seem to be looked at at cut and dry, if number in range you are healthy according to many Drs, but if you are 59 you are unhealthy, bunch of crap if you ask me. Where does it make logical sense that a person would be deemed healthy, normal at 60 but at 59 you would be deemed unhealthy, just doesnt pass the common sense test but then common sense appear to be in short supply in our medical industry. I would ask your LLMD specifically how tey interpret that result and put it in writing so you can read the answer when your mind is functioning at its best.

Maybe give the LLMD the Striker articles on CD57 but then if an ILADS LLMD I would expect them to know this already.

I didn't word that correctly, TBrown - sorry - I meant that no symptoms have gotten any worse while you are off of abx.

I heard that CD57 levels are unreliable. I am so much better, and my CD57 number went down! However, the compliment c3a is supposed to be a more reliable source - mine is finally within the normal range, which is btwn 54-202, and mine is 147. It was initially 850 when I was sick in the beginning.
