Can herxing stop medication from working?

I'm on mirapex for restless leg syndrome & periodic limb movement, I haven't got much sleep in 4-5 days, last night was the worst, it was like I wasn't on any medication for my leg issues at all, I couldn't stay in bed at all because of my legs ( and arms, which rarely get restless).Can herxing stop medication from working, (and I have been herxing). I do have trouble with my body getting used to medications & have to switch them up every now & again! This is my first herxing & I've already had enough, my hat goes off to all you that have dealt with herxing for months & years.

Are you detoxing? What all are you doing to detox? Chances are that your restless legs (and now arms) are due to herxing - not the medication having stopped working.

Herxing can bring on restless legs and other involuntary muscle movements, among many other things. Detoxing, which will lower the toxin load in your body, should ease this for you.

Traveler, yes I have been detoxing, Epsom salt baths for about 20-30 mins at a time. Dry brushing, drinking lots of water.

You should try including more ways of detoxing to see if that helps. FIR saunas, oil pulling, Zeolite/activated charcoal/or other binders can be very helpful as well.

What time of the day do you usually take your Epsom salt baths? Do you feel any better with the restless legs after wards, or does it increase those feelings?
