I know iv glutathione makes me feel a lot better, however,
I got my first picc line in (16 months after tick bite) on Tuesday &
I am thinking of waiting on the iv glutathione so I can tell what the
IV ceftriaxone is doing for me & my sx.

Any thoughts?

The same with Zyrtec.
I started this last Thursday and it has helped my inflammation a good bit since then, when my picc line was put in, the inflammation is getting even better.
I do not know if the inflammation is improving b/c of the compounding effects of the Zyrtec or from the
Added ceftriaxone starting on Tuesday?

Have you tested your glutithione levels? I thought when I was studying methylation that there was some concern about taking glutithione but I cant find it or remember specifically. Mine was low but I remember I decided it was better to treat other points on the methylation cycle that would support increased glutithione. Cant say if my decision was right. So I would check with your dr if you trust they understand biochemical processes.

I would encourage you to get the testing if you feel the need to, but definitely consider the glutathione. Ive glutathione is the most effective and it's something that can make a big impact on your being able to tolerate your treatments better through better detoxing in the body.

From what I understand, that would be the 2nd best way to get glutithione.

Here are my notes on Glutathione:

Glutathione Repair:
– synthesized in the body from the amino acids L-cysteine, L-glutamic acid, and glycine
– liver glutathione synthesis has been shown to be essential
– increase cysteine rich foods (poultry, eggs, yogurt, red peppers, onions, garlic)
– alpha lipoic acid (ALA) has also been shown to restore intracellular glutathione
– n-acetyl-cysteine (NAC) is a scavenger of free radicals and maintains the cellular glutathione status in muscle cells

I do also get the IV every 2 months, but also for B12 which seems crucial as well. ALA and NAC are supplements and rather cheap compared to the IV's. If you take ALA, make sure you take a B-Complex as well, they work hand in hand
