To
all,
I would be very happy if somebody
here could give me some information concerning the Spirofind Test (from Boulder
diagnostics) for Lyme disease.
As far as I understand this test
is based upon cellular immunity, and not upon humoral immunity as is for
instance the Western-Blot.
Since two years I’m facing very
serious neurological problems (including Parkinson’s !) for which one of the possible
causes is chronic and very late Lyme disease and/or co-infections (I’m in
particular IgG positive for Rickettsia Conorii and doubtful in PCR Bartonella).
I was bitten a very long time ago and, perhaps, once again, 8 years ago.
My neurologist says LD is totally
impossible (because of Elisa being always negative and WB All bands being
actually totally negative, after having been only slightly positive 3 years
ago), but other physicians say LD must be considered (in particular because of
an Elispott-LTT test made in Augsburg, Germany, one year ago which came back
slightly positive and because of an analysis of some drops of finger’s blood
with a microscope which showed some spirochets after a few days). Who must I
believe in? So, so difficult to decide…
That’s the reason why I’m
thinking of the Spirofind Test (possibly done in Germany, not to far from
France where I live).
So are the following questions :
-Is this Spirofind test a really
reliable one, able to clearly say : “Yes, it is actually an active LD, which
contributes to the neurological problems” or “No, there is actually no active
LD for a possible explanation of the problems”
-Do you have some information
about this test?
-Has somebody of you already done
it, and, in this case, what do you think of it?
It would be so great if some of
you could give me suitable information …
So, I’m waiting for your
help-messages if you can !
Have, as much as posssible, a good day...
