Possible to be 100% one day?

I definitely have a long way to go yet...but is it possible to heal and be 100% healthy?
Or, is that a lofty goal? Will I ever be able to play tennis again? The way my shoulders feel now - pain and weakness...it makes me wonder.

Are most people left with some residual problems - joint pain...stiffness, etc.?
Or do most people recover...and only a few people are left with long lasting issues?

I have talked to someone that lives in my city who has healed and remains symptom free for five months now...but is this rare?

Did that person say what they did for their treatment? Everyone is so different and there are so many treatment options out there. I beieve its possible.

Also George Bush beat it... Lol the last president of the United states... Again though, IV antibiotics. IV rocephin kills lyme well, it basically just punctures holes in the Spirochetes so they don't have much of a chance.

Dr.B beat it... Another total recovery. He ALSO used IV antibiotics! But then I think he went on Orals... He beat it with ceftin. He let it come back 3 times. He did 6 weeks on high dose ceftin, 3 weeks off, 6 weeks on high dose Ceftin, 3 weeks off, and then 6 final weeks on high dose Ceftin. Then it never came back for him.

See very tricky to treat. The issue is the way the medical system is set up. They want objective evidence, and with lyme it is very hard. They want to say okay 3 months IV abx cures it... And it doesn't. So then they take the stand well what's the point? It's terrible I know. They need to do more research and really look at what worked in people who totally beat it.

I hear of way more success stories than failures. I was just talking to a mother yesterday who's daughter had Lyme and did the whole doctor-to-doctor chase for a diagnosis until she finally found an LLMD. She has been symptom free for 6 years after 6 months of oral abx, as just one example.

I almost forget what normal feels like, its been so long. But I do hope to get back to it or close enough to live happy.

I do know of someone who is 100% cured and actually pregnant with her 1st child (she had tried for years and never could, about a year after completing treatment she got pregnant). Very inspirational. At her lowest lyme point she had lost 30 pounds had every symptom imaginable, she could not even get out of bed and was suicidal. It takes time, dedication and hope, but I think it is possible!

Me too Girlie! When Lyme Disease was first mentioned to me by someone as a possibility I went on-line and the first thing I saw was the bull's eye rash, fever, and flu-like symptoms. That actually stopped me and I didn't look any further because I did not have these symptoms.

It wasn't until I spoke with someone who had Lyme about a year later that I learned about the other symptoms.

When I saw Vanessa's video I had the same reaction - definitely an aha moment! Now it all makes sense! No, she said she did not have the bull's eye rash either and she said VERY FEW people actually get this, but some people would get an atypical rash. She said the atypical rash was more common than the typical bull's eye rash, but still many people don't get any rash.

Anyway, thanks again for posting that. I can't wait to finish watching it.

Whenever I start to worry about lingering damage I just stop myself. I just can't go there. We can only live one day at a time as they say. We have enough to deal with on a daily basis to think ahead that far. Let's heal as much as we can first...one foot in front of the other...and deal with tomorrow's problems tomorrow. Or maybe there won't be any problems tomorrow and all that worry would be for nothing!!!!

We (my daughter and I) are currently at 99% and holding. She has a remaining suggestible motor tic which only occurs when I ask if she is ticcing today, and I have some lower back stiffness that precludes me from running, but nothing else. Rowing, power walking, cycling and kettle bells are all good. I'm 53 so that may account for the back.

After 2 years of abx for bartonella our daughter was 80% improved. We weaned from abx to herbs with no lapse in treatment and held at 80% for 8 months with Buhner's bartonella herbs. The addition of his babesia herbs at that time immediately brought her to 99% were she remains today.

Before our daughter started treatment she was experiencing daily scores of 120 on the Excel chart that I use to track symptoms vs protocol change. She had 21 symptoms, each of which when scored between 1 and 10 for severity, registered between 4 and 8. Now she has the one remaining symptom scoring at 1.

I have never used abx and started the herbal protocols along with our daughter (at the urging of our LLMD who felt my symptoms were caused by infections that I shared with our daughter). I feel that in my case anyway, abx treatment was never necessary.

I am tempted to buy the book, too. I think I have a chapters gift card from last xmas...I wonder if I can get it there.
