confession: I donated blood b4 I knew

Hey, maybe the person had a really strong immune system. Or maybe nobody got your blood.

What is that serenity prayer? Something about God give me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Live in the moment, and accept what is.

Take a deep breath....you can't blame yourself...I've had Lyme and babesia now for I dont know how long...suffering for 3 years....had first neck surgery 4 years ago...second neck surgery this time a fusion...which then triggered the downhill spiraling symptoms of Lyme.....finally found out about 6 months ago that it was....I could've had Lyme for 15-20 years and not known....as I never remember being bit by a tick....I could've received Lyme 4 years ago in my first neck surgery if they gave me blood.....I could've received it in the second surgery from the cadaver bone they used as a spacer in my fusion.....I will probably never know the answer of that question...I have lost quality of life for the past 3 years.....and have had my days where I have been so angry and hurt....but I can assure you....not once have I ever said or though what of that person donated blood and had Lyme symptoms......? You can't do that to yourself! :( How unfair to you....aren't you suffering enough? It's not like they are screening the donated blood for Lyme...(which they should be...even if they catch a few cases...) but...you were trying to do a good thing...I am like you...it would eat at me as well...I would probably try and find if there were a way who received my blood...not possible in sure...but at least I tried...and then I could move on...Either way....try to be at ease...can't control something you knew nothing about...now you know.....you need to put your energies towards getting well...sending strength
