Yes side effects/risks-- fatigue, nerve damage, mitochondrial damage. Generally those resolve with time away from the the medication though. Chromosomal damage is also possible but both of the LLDs said i'm not on it long enough at high enough dosage to worry about
that. b-6, b-12, ALA are good supplements to help with these kinds of effects.
Actually for me to give an honest opinion of it... It is one of the more riskier abx to use. But no different than flagyl! Yes the risk is no worse than flagyl, soooo... If you decide to use this kind of cyst buster it is better to choose tinidazole.
Some say the nitro group isn't released unless it goes inside the bacteria. Not sure if that is accurate or not, but others say the medication tends to accumulate where there is little to no oxygen.
The Fluorquinolone are worse to me based on what I read and researched.
