Sometimes a Paradigm Shift is Necessary

When our daughter became ill we were as ignorant about LD and chronic illness as most of you are/were. We followed the normal path of first utilizing conventional ABX, and then added in "natural" ABX. We also modified diet, added elaborate detox schemes, eliminated environmental pollution/toxins, started appropriate exercise, mental conditioning, etc, etc. There was much value in these concepts and they played their role in eventually making our daughter well.

When we hit a brick wall in making the progress that we desired, we discovered yet another concept that has many practical applications. We literally prayed to God for insight as to whether there might be something of value that we had missed. My mind was then drawn to the concept of bio-energetics and energy medicine. These concepts go beyond the traditional view of human beings as merely consisting of a tissue/organ system and biochemical reality, but rather of a deeper and more fundamental energetic reality. As many of you know, we employed the services of the Hansa Center which used energy medicine to heal our daughter Heather. I witnessed firsthand the healing of many other "sickest of the sick" as well through their bioenergetic paradigm. My opinion is that if you take a group of the "sickest of the sick", that they would have a higher cure rate than any other approach/provider. Why do I believe this? It is because of the paradigm that they hold that makes it a superior approach.

I will not attach any links to the doctors of the Hansa Center to make my point, but rather to a doctor that was initially classically trained as an MD. He quickly came to understand the limitations of his early training and consciously expanded his healthcare paradigm to include that of "alternative" medicine and specifically that of "bioenergetic" medicine. The attached video is a short and general presentation by Dr. Robert Rowen in which he introduces the concept of the bioenergetic reality of man's being. He also introduces the concept of the interconnectedness of parts of the body through energetic pathways.

I will not be so bold as to declare that nobody on this forum can be healed unless they are treated with a bioenergetic approach. However, I have witnessed that it IS the missing link for many people that have already exhaustively tried every reputable treatment approach that is available in the marketplace of ideas.

I also want to add that the early energetic approaches such as chiropractic, craniosacral, classical homeopathy, accupuncture, etc. have been eclipsed by even more powerful and innovative treatments. The purpose of this post and video is just to introduce the basic concept that bioenergetics is both scientific and cutting-edge by an intelligent and articulate member of the healthcare profession. Hopefully your curiosity will cause you to want to delve deeper into the topic, and to eventually receive life-changing healthcare. I have carefully crafted this post in an attempt to avoid criticism, but yet to generate curiosity for further inquiry.

I appreciate your interaction with the video astroman.

I agree with what you are saying, but Dr. Rowen and the doctors at the Hansa Center believe in an expanded notion of man as an energetic being than what you are perceiving. Permit me to use you as an example. You exist on many levels. First you exist as an individual. Then you exist in relationship to a family. You exist in relationship to an extended family. You exist in relationship to other Americans. Ultimately you exist in relationship to the human race.

Watching the video I have gleaned that he believes in at least 3 levels of energetic planes. 1) The nervous system 2) (Chinese) meridiens, and 3) each individual human being as a unified energetic field. I believe that you perceive the first two, but I think that you may have missed the third one. When he referred to the "aura" and "The Body Electric" , he implied this third category. The book "The Body Electric" postulates this notion based on scientific research.

Dr. David Jernigan calls this third category "the crystalline matrix" and likens the human body to a fiber optic. He believes that there is an energetic level on which every cell in the human body is constantly and instantly intercommunicating on the level of quantum physics based on much published research.

You are right about the paradigm shift Don. Unfortunately for most, I think it needs to be a stepwise process. I don't think it's possible to do a complete turnaround (although that would save a lot of time and messing about).

Coming from the background I did, with the belief system I grew up with (multiple doctors/nurses in the family), it was a leap for me to even consider taking our daughter to a LLMD. After that it wasn't so much of a leap to switch to herbals, but another just the same. Coming to the conclusion that the infections/illness were not the problem so much as the body's inability to maintain balance, and it's toxin overload was another.

We are slowing heading in the direction of energy healing with our naturopath trained in Traditional Chinese medicine, homeopathy, energetic testing etc. Really my only hindrance now is the attitude of my husband who's feet are both firmly planted in the mainstream. I carry on regardless.

Heather is fortunate to have both parents on the same page, who are willing to make the shifts necessary to help her heal.

rowingmom- I am sure that new direction that you are heading into will yield helpful results. I am looking forward to reading your reports about that progress in the future!

katebirch- Yes, herbals were definitely part of the solution for Heather. There is another factor though. I started to use herbals well before we ever went to the Hansa Center. At the Hansa Center they tested Heather's body's response to everything that they thought may help her. What may be helpful for another person or even the majority of people does not necessarily mean that it is helpful for you. They only used herbs that Heather's body "liked". ideally every person would have a skilled physician that knows the difference. Also the herbals that Dr. J. prescribed were selected on their suitability to improve organ and immune support and NOT to kill the microbes. That's not to say that they never use antimicrobial herbs, but the main focus is to optimize the person's ability to become well again. Energy treatments play a large role in this approach.
