Fasting BG has remained improved at 75 to 95 for nine months. Was up to 120 in the last couple years. Was a past athlete, ate well, never overweight.

I exercise way less now from lyme pain. This blew away the endo who knows nothing about lyme or adrenal support. Endo said, suck it up, you will be diabetic soon. Doesnt look that way for none months now.

Fasting glucose lowered some from adrenal support using holy basil (this is known to happen) before ABX. I asked a diabetes forum about this (different one), they were non believers and said I must be nuts since "supplements do nothing". Big phama loves that mindset.

Then after after 5 months on ABX, fasting glucose lowered some more to where in has remained for the last nine months. Hope this pattern continues.

AC1 dropped a few points as well.

Has anyone else experience this good news?

WOW… I needed to hear this.

I have a gene mutation that makes me more vulnerable to sugar metabolism—diabetes runs in the family. yay.

And despite elimination diets, my blood sugar swings from too high to too low throughout the day. LLMD wants to observe (I started abx IV 5 wks ago) before doing anything. I do NOT want to go on meds. ETA: I am taking chromium.

I remain a little more hopeful now. ;)

MY fasting glucose didnt swing, it just kept going up and up......

It was 84 (again) his morning!!

Holy basil capsules are cheap, thats what I think started the positive trend - this was before treating gut-immune (following functional medicine protocal) and abx.

I treated gut-immune for 6 months prior to ABX too, probiotics, fish oil, Q10, adrenal, colostrum ect - that might haf help too.

Yup—thanks to my LLMD's approach, I made huge strides in healing my gut somewhat (4 mos.) before starting the lyme & co. tx. I could have none more but pressured her to start me on BW formulas in May.

Yours is a good gut-immune protocol. I also had to eliminate everything but steamed greens, salad greens and meat. But before I could even eat solid food I was on a medicated food powder for a couple months (helped me stay alive but was horrible) and was including a great product by Biogenesis Nutraceuticals Intestinal Repair Complex to the drink. I also drank aloe vera juice, consumed natural food enzymes with 200 billion probiotics daily (which I'm still taking). And LLMD gave me some Transfer Factor for Immune and lyme, which was short term but helped.

Ironically, I learned (by mistake, really) that the high quality fish oil I was taking was causing a lot of inflammation. I found it listed as one of the highest ranked inflammatory foods on a list one of the posters here shared. Plus, I was likely overdosing—so I stopped taking it and the next day I weighed 5 lb less. Crazy.

I think my blood sugar issue has something to do with my neurotransmitter imbalances as well. No matter what I take they get very imbalanced—from one extreme to the other and I do think this sets other imbalances off (immune system, blood sugar). I will try holy basil capsules—can't hurt. thx!

Congratulations, Astroman!!! turn This definitely deserves a happy dance!!! yeah

My A1C (I believe) was very close to requiring me to start on diabetic meds (according to my doc) just before I started treating adrenal and thyroid issues - not quite the same, but close!! I was more than slightly relieved that it all lowered quickly once I started treatments!

I had the same experience. BP was high too although I had always been an athlete in perfect health. Glucose spiked over 150. Now its normal and my BP is right around 110/70

Good to know I am not the only one, likely not a fluke then.
