I too have issues with a ragweed allergy,although not as severe as you seem to have -but still, no fun!! I'm so lucky that it blooms twice a year here!!

While Xylitol is a good choice for sweetening and protecting the mouth, but it's biofilm busting properties don't survive the stomach acid, so it only doesn't help with biofilms anywhere but the mouth.
As for eating honey, you might try just a tiny bit at some point. I too was pretty allergic to bee stings and my brother had full blown anaphylactic reactions to all types of bee/wasp/hornet stings and we both eat honey. If you are still quite allergic, I wouldn't do this without being in a doctor's office though! Caution is always best!
