What test is right for me?

I am 26. I was diagnosed and treated for Lyme disease when I was 10. I have suffered from anxiety and bipolar since then. I want to test to see if I still have Lyme disease, to try and understand if it may have caused and may be causing my symptoms.

The most reliable lab for Lyme is Igenex.

The most reliable lab is Igenex, and you would want to order a Western Blot, at least. However, even Igenex is not 100% accurate, so I would recommend finding a LLMD who can diagnose your symptoms and see if you have Lyme, no matter what the test says.

Welcome to the forum!

Besides Lyme, you may have a co-infection. I tested + for lyme but negative for co-infections. When things got bad, I went to a LLMD and he treated me for both Lyme and Bartonella. There are many co-infections that ticks carry besides Lyme. Please visit the "New to Lyme" thread for more info. Many of us didn't get well until the co-infections were addressed. I think more common are Lyme, Bartonella and Babesia, but there are others and some members here have 4 or 5 of them.
