I tried adderall

My doctor recommended it and since my adrenals came back normal I was more interested in testing it. She thought it would help with my concentration and exhaustion

Not a fan. I feel like I'm jumping out of my skin. My mind is more alert but in a weird way. Super jittery and shaky. Too soon to know if I will crash hard later...maybe I'll post this evening

Just passing on my experience. Not sure if anyone else's doctor recommended it. I have heard that it's super bad for people with compromised adrenal function because you'll crash hard on it.

Not since getting lyme but took about 8 different types of ADHD meds growing up. I took both the short and long acting adderall for a couple years. Did the same to me. Some of the ADHD meds do it less so maybe there is another one. Ritalin short acting is way less strong. Everyone reacts different to different stimulants. I took focalin for the longest and had the best success with that one. Maybe a lower dose would be good too. But they are all kinda like that. I've been considering a short acting ADHD med again to help with focus and memory just to take when I really need to focus, not everyday.

I started it a month ago. It helps me focus and I have less exhaustion. I went a week without taking any and felt horribly exhausted.....

is it short acting or long acting? ive always perferred short acting stimulants like adderall, focalin or ritalin. though ritalin never did anything. Short acting usually last 4-6 hours. Taking short acting ones earlier in the day to get things done would maybe be less likely to cause insomnia. Those drugs need a lot of tweaking to get the right dose so don't give up completely with the first thing they perscribe.
