Hopeful

I have been sick since Jan. 2014-4 months of not knowing what was wrong because I did not have insurance and then finally diagnosed with anaplasma and then Lyme in July. It's been a roller coaster of feeling so awful I thought I was going to die to getting through a day and now working since October to not being able to function this weekend. I spent every night reading what will help to looking for a doctor who knows what will work.

I found one and how I found him was reading what will get rid of the bacteria. Supposedly the answer is making one's body alkaline which is also the key to not getting cancer-again from what I read. I have an appointment and for the first time in months I feel like his treatment will get me better.

I have read everyone's pain & depression and symptoms on this forum and it's heartbreaking. It's so sad that
so many are so sick. I could barely function yesterday and felt so awful that I wanted to just go to a hospital
but with the help of my sister she got me home and I slept for hours. Today I am just resting. It's all I have the strength to do.


The only reason I am able to go on is that I feel someone can make me better and I believe in his treatment
even though I haven't even had my appointment. It makes sense.

There are people who get better..........I AM going to get better!!

Long term antibiotic use 12-18 or 24-36 months. The cellular PH needs to be alkaline.The theory is that antibiotics alone do not work and in order to maximize the effectiveness you need to change the degree of acidity or alkalinity. Biaxin, zithromax & plaquenil or amantadine together to change the PH.

All I have left is hope......

"The treatment of Lyme disease is basically antibi­otics at this point and it has to be the right antibiotics, not just sensitive by the test tube but probably antibi­otics that can get inside cells. The major ones that do that, or the only ones, are the tetracyclines. Doxycycline and Minocycline are the types of tetracycline. I prefer the old-fashioned tetracycline compound itself because it is a higher dose, less protein-bound and in clinical expe­rience appears to be more effective. The alternative is to use one of the erythromycin drugs. The newer ones are Clarithromycin, called Biaxin, and Azithromycin or Zithromax. They are more tolerable than the ery­thromycins, have high activity against the bacteria in the test tube and get inside cells. Now interestingly enough, once it gets inside cells the journey is not completed be­cause if these bacteria are living in an acid compart­ment, as I believe these bacteria are, then the ery­thromycin group doesn't seem to work as well in acid. I have taken to using a quinine drug (trade name Plaquenil, chemical name hydroxychlorquin) that has been used effectively for years for treating rheumatoid arthritis or lupus for reasons that aren't exactly understood. This does change the pH and acidity inside cells to allow the erythromycin type antibiotic to work more effectively".

I HAVE to get better. I really believe there is a way to get better. Years ago I was interested in alternative ways to cure ailments and subscribed to a newsletter about natural cures. The book was by Kevin Trudeau who is now in jail for fraud! He did though have many interesting articles written by others and one of them was getting/keeping your body alkaline. I stumbled across an article concerning Lyme and the same premise. I took it one step further and contacted the Dr. who is also a Lyme specialist and a biologist and
I have an appointment.

I have nothing to lose at this point. I was on abx for 8 months and although they got me to a point where I can function better than I did, I am still sick. I am not on any meds right now and started taking supplements and I had the worst few days that I have had in a long time. So.........

He has written papers & given lectures on Lyme and suggested a course of treatment to the ILADS.
He is a well known expert on Lyme disease. He accepts insurance.....a huge thing for me!
