I'm just finishing the DesBio Series Therapy Bartonella homeopathic vials. You do a series of vials starting from 1-10 and then back down 10-1 with one vial being taken every 3 days. The middle part was pretty brutal with emergence of several new symptoms and some old friends coming back to play too. I've been pretty good with the results and many of my symptoms have calmed way down and I don't get all the weird tilty feelings, foot pain, bugs crawling around the corners of my eyes anymore. It may be somethnig to talk to your doc about
. Note of warning, they taste awful. Really awful....and you have to hold it under your tongue for 30 seconds! Yucky!
Good luck!

I of course would have to say Buhner's bartonella protocol; the main antimicrobials being sida and houttuynia.
http://buhnerhealinglyme.com/
BARTONELLA
Research is ongoing, this is the most up to date protocol:
• Sida acuta tincture (from Woodland Essence or julie@gaianstudies.org) ¼ tsp 3x day for 30 days
• Hawthorn tincture, same
• Japanese knotweed, (tincture, same dose (from same sources as Sida acuta, above), or capsules from Green Dragon Botanicals 2 capsules 3x daily)
• EGCG 400mg +- daily
• Houttuynia (Yu Xing Cao – 1st Chinese Herbs, powder – use “LYME” code at checkout for 10% off) 1 tbl daily
• L-arginine 5000 mg daily in divided doses
• Milk Thistle seed, standardized, 1200 mg daily
All for 30 days.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have active herpes, chicken pox, or shingles DO NOT USE L-arginine.
We use much lower doses than those recommended here (only 1/4 dosage actually) and have improved wonderfully.

Has anyone read this about
the role of Houttuynia in Buhners bartonella protocol? Apparently he doesn't use it for its broad antimicrobial properties but to control cytokines. At least that's what he wrote on his site 2 years ago.

That doesn't seem to make much sense since most people report herxing pretty hard on Houttuynia. Unless it's hitting other infections. Maybe he's changed his stance on this but I haven't read any of his books.
Also, the Zhang protocol uses HH as its main treatment so idk why Buhner would use it for an alternative purpose.

I have Buhner's book "Healing Lyme Disease Coinfections".
An excerpt from his chapter on Natural Healing of Bartonella:
"The antibacterial regimen, should you desire to use it, consists of Alchornea cordifolia, Isatis, and houttuynia. These herbs will help with inflammation and all have a broad range of antibacterial actions."

Catch:
You can listen to dr Cowden on youtube and see what vibe you get. I like his protocol but I didn't use it as I didn't know anything about
it until recently. Also compare prices, see which one is better for you. My knowledge is limited on White's protocol. Buhner has worked well for us and we are currently using it. You have to find whAt works for you. If you don't improve, you can try anther. Keep your options
opened.

And always remember that one may not work well for you and you may have to use a different one. As Simela said - keep your options
open.
I was using the Chronic Tonic for Lyme and only added in Houttuynia for Bartonella, and healed from both Lyme and Bartonella in only 1 year's time.

Traveler, undoubtedly you have posted your successful set of protocols before, would you be so kind as to direct me to your post or posts concerning them? I would greatly appreciate it. And if you do not mind were you attacking only lymes and Bartonella?
Thank you rowing mom for your in depth list. Thanks to all that contributed to this post.
Be well and all the best,
Root
