My ND just started me on Artemisinin this week. Aside from Teasel Root drops, this is the only thing I am taking. No ABX as of yet. She has me taking 5 100mg caps 3 times /day for two days in a row for three weeks and then one week off. She said she plans to do this for the next YEAR!
My ND did not give me any warning about this supplement and I herxed something awful. Not knowing how horrible I was going to feel, I took my first dose right before I went to work. BIG MISTAKE!!! I seriously felt like I was dying for about 2 hours. But that’s a good thing remember, LOL it means it is working. The 2nd and 3rd doses, on my first day, weren't as bad. 2nd day was a little better but still herxing, just not as bad as right after the first dose. My last dose was on Wednesday night and I am still feeling "off" two days later. With my luck this will clear up right before I have to take it again next week.
