Lyme doctors in Maine???

Hi guys,

I just found out that I have had Lyme for the past 6 years. All this time I was told it was CFS but thanks to the Igenx test I now know the truth. So now I need to find a GOOD doctor. I am located in the Bangor Maine area. Does anyone know of any good doctors? I am still learning about this illness but I have watched the film Under our Skin and can see the importance of getting good help from the start.

If you want to email me, (activate your email icon), I could give you a couple recommendations. I'm in the Boston area, but my mother who also has Lyme is in Maine. I know of a couple in Kennbunk, and one in Belfast.

Hi Kinerson, welcome to this very helpful forum. I'm from Kittery, but I see a doctor in Portsmouth NH. I'm sure that there are others that can help but this is what I found.

Hello, I just found this thread through Bing and HAD to join so I could ask... Who is the doc in Belfast? I am VERY close and my doc is in Belfast but won't perscribe antibiotics because the three times I've been tested it came back neg. I have learned that not all places test you for all strains and even then it could be wrong if the test is done during the three weeks a month they are not active...?
So, I am looking for a doc to see me who knows Lyme disease and therefore knows what to test me for, when to test and where to have the test done and be able to prescribe whatever is necessary.
