Low heart rate / low blood pressure

So my cardiologist ordered another 30 day holter monitor and I'm getting that put on next Friday.

But today I've felt really weird and out of it.. I've been taking my Bp/hr with my own wrist Bp cuff & today my Bp and hr are ALL OVER THE PLACE. At the most my Bp was 122/85 with a hr of 120 (I just went up 2 flights of stairs) & as low as 100/61 with a heart rate of 68 (lowest hr was 58). I'm scared about heart block since my heart is so involved

I've been having crazy Bart symptoms for days and had a busy day yesterday. I'm wondering if laying in bed all Day and doing laundry today has had an effect of my heart or if I'm feeling the effects of my busy day yesterday (I was fine yesterday, feeling good besides my dizziness, so I'm confused).

Has anyone else had fluctuating Bp and hr?
I just took my Bp after getting up (& putting m son in time out) & it was 105/71 with a hr of 115. This is scaring me.

I think others will chime in with more medically based info… but I'll share anecdotally what I have experienced.

Up until I started treatment, I never had any heart issues. Up until about 4 yrs ago I ran several miles a day, I used to be a dancer, was always very active… but I'd also been diagnosed w/ an irregular heartbeat as a teen w/ no issues.

As lyme & confections got the upper hand a couple yrs ago, I noticed my heart rate was always very low… was always 80s over 50s. Once I started tx this past yr, my heart rate/bp got very erratic. Was either high or low but definitely raised overall. Christmas Eve, I was in the ER w/ a gall stone attach (although gastro thinks it was an attack from bart, not a gallstone) but an EKG they did that night showed Long QT, which also coincided w/ a surge of crazy sx (palpitations, short of breath, tightness and pain in chest, dizziness).

LLMD directed me to stop taking Diflucan (which I had already stopped 2 months prior). After probing here on the forum, someone (sorry can't remember who Georgia Hunter?) generously suggested that I might be experiencing oxidative stress with everything I was taking (mostly herbs). I backed way off the tx protocol and sure enough, most sx subsided.

I do have palpitations every now and then when I'm not sitting up straight, due to the IV port catheter, which has slipped too far into my heart and agitates it sometimes. Not too relevant to your question but wanted to share in case my other posts about it are confusing.

I also notice that I get physiological sx from anxiety now more than I used to. Granted, life is considerably more complicated and many of us have crazy stress we're trying to manage. But I think there is a natural anxiety that gets stirred up w/ all the neuro issues and what I call neuropsycho sx in those of us who have lyme & confections in the brain. So some of the erratic hr/bp we come by "honestly".

Symptoms of heart block are long pauses in your hearts rhythm (Different is than palpitations that feel like skipped beats) and fainting. Heart block also doesn't kill people. Can it? Sure. But when the electrical signal gets blocked from the SA node, Your heart has a back up the AV node. If that fails then you have another backup plan, Ventricular escape.

alot lot of peoples fear of heart issues is based on the foundation that your heart is a delicate little muscle that will give out at any moment. But I'm all reality your heart is one of the most resilient muscles you have

As for your blood pressure cuff, your readings look very typical to me. Especially since we know anxiety can cause fluctuating HR and BP!

I also think you worry about your heart more than is healthy. I speak from expierence. I lost at least a month of my life worrying about my heart 24/7. I would lay there all day with my hand on my chest to make sure it kept beating. It was insane. but I find the more knowledge you have on how the heart really works the better you'll feel.
