So i know of that i have babesia, bart, and Lyme
may have more not sure
but through the process of elimination of the past few years
I only tolerate zuchinni, cucumbers, chicken, and salmon (plus lemons)
and as far as spices i only really tolerate ginger, and salt

but to keep prices down on food i only eat chicken and cucumbers with lemon
as salmon would be crazy expensive (unless some one knows how to get it cheaper?)

wondering if anyone has food intolerances this extreme?
if anything helped

right now im taking vsl#3 DS twice a day, just started it
seem to get a little die off reaction from it

i dont tolerate florastor or some other probiotics
i dont tolerate glutamine


whenever i eat something or take something that doesnt agree with me it feels like i get brain and spine swelling as well as other symptoms
its like my body just starts attacking itself
i become even more mentally incapacitated
and my functionality goes down

so to stay functional
this is what i do...

but wondering if anyone has done anything that helped them?
or if anyone had anything this extreme?

I'm so sorry you have this horrible dis-ease and struggle w/food intolerance.

I have food intolerance also but not as extreme as yours; although I'm currently awaiting results from my latest food allergy/intolerance test...

I take probiotics(dairy free brand)
Food enzymes=similase gfcf by integrative
Another enzyme, chewable after meals

I tried a product by Thorne called biogest someone recommended but it made my stomach issues worse!

I heard theres a DAO enzyme supplement for the histamine intolerance issue, but I havent tried that yet.

Last month, my MD suggested removing nightshades from my diet; she was thinking that-s what causes my inflammation=pain!!! Well 6 weeks later and still aches/pains.

Sometimes my stomach actually feels better after taking my herbal Lyme tincture

I don't strictly adhere to my diet...it's too hard!
I've been told that those people w/extreme food intolerance develop intolerance to foods they repetitively eat, so it's best to not eat the same thing everyday!!! But,what the heck???

Oh I forgot to ask-
So, you cannot eat melons? , or what about jicama?

If you haven't ​yet​, it would be helpful for you to start with reading through the thread at the top of the forum titled,"New to Lyme?...Start here!!", as it is packed full of important information, symptom lists, helpful links and pdf's, how to detox when one has these infections, information on probiotics and much more.​

I'm just now learning about MCAD and MTHFR reactions and histamine intolerance while trying to help someone else - and was wondering if you have had any testing for these things yet as that's what it makes me think of.

I just started reading about the DAO and what it can do for those with those issues and am trying to learn more.

still new to this whole group thing

Ive done the genetic genie test and i had some of the issues with sulphur
and cutting out sulfur made a big difference
but even some of the non sulfur no carb things still hit me so i was at a loss
like lettuce, i couldnt tolerate lettace at all.....which i think is pretty simple for most people

i cant have any melons unfortunately :/

I wonder if that histamine enzyme would help.
it seems whenever i eat something my body doesnt like it just attacks itself and it takes me a good 3 days to recover

but i got pretty good at sticking to my diet
literally just chicken and cucumbers and lemon for 8 months straight now
before that it was a strict diet as well but it took me a while to refine it to stay functional.

Goodness, Cloudstruck, that sounds awful.

When I was at my sickest I was having reactions to all of my favorite foods. I even started reacting to my toothpaste. Toothpaste! Which forced me to create my own out of baking soda and essential oils.

Luckily my immune system isn't as compromised any longer, and I have since been able to take up eating my favorites again.

As sweetpeaisme mentioned, I also heard that if you rotate foods, instead of keeping repetitive meals, it cuts down on the reactions. This helped a family member of mine, but didn't seem to really help me at the time. So, maybe it'll help? idk.

dang thats intense for tooth paste
I seem to do ok with most things i dont actually ingest
and as far as pills go i do fairly well with everything surprisingly

but yea i dont have as many things to rotate, and if i did things that i react to to try and make them work, id be non function for a long time just hoping my body adjusted
