Just curious if anyone else had experienced this.

Been suffering from neurological lymes for about 12 yrs and symptoms have been on and off. Been on numerous antibiotics and IV. I was symptom free for 4 yrs but this past 11 have been hell. Saw a LLMD, which my whole family likes and the first visit he prescribed me with Azithromycin and a month later we continued that and added Fluconazole for Candida. On a very strict and boring diet to get everything under control.

So to the point, my issue now is I'm starting to understand more things and memory isn't as bad as before but my main issue is when I think about doing stuff, playing golf and going out doing stuff I normally do, I get real nervous and I feel like I don't know what's going on. Also don't want to be around anyone or see anyone. This usually happens when I go through the relapses but these 2 symptoms seem to be lingering around and it's frustrating because it's now been 4 months.

So just wondering if anyone experienced them 2 symptoms and it's just not me?

pphilles - So this symptom - did you have it for the past 11 years, or did it come on more recently after the azithromycin?
Sorry, I'm having a bit of trouble understanding the time-line. (It could be my brain-fog)

One of my disturbing symptoms is nervous system vibrations. Feels like I'm buzzing inside, and sometimes I get shivers.

I've noticed lately, even though some symptoms have completely gone, and others have gotten somewhat better..that the vibrations seem to intensify when I think about something a little bit stressful...something that wouldn't have been stressful prior to lyme disease.

For instance, I had to add up some expenses for the lawyers in charge of my father's estate...and I started to get the vibrations....

It's kind of the same as what you're saying - it's nervous system related.

In your case is it happening periodically, could it be a herx reaction to the azithromycin - have you been on it for 4 months...and how long after starting zithro did the symptoms start? I'm wondering if you're experiencing a herx?

I had experienced these 2 symptoms since the beginning 12 yrs ago but these 2 symptoms as well as other neurological symptoms would only last a week or two and then I was my normal self.

I've been on azithromycin for almost 3 months and Fluconazole for almost a month.It's just weird to me that my symptoms, specifically the 2 I explined are lasting so long compared to before, like I said would only last a week or two in the past and I was completely back to normal.

The other day I thought I was feeling good, I went and sat in my Jeep to see how it felt and I was completely clueless while sitting in there.

So, they are worse since youve started zithro - they last longer?

That could be a herx....when the die-off happens from treatment, it creates toxins in the body...those toxins intensify symptoms, and even new ones appear.

Are you doing enough detoxing? That is crucial.

No they are about the same since starting zithro, just lingering around.

Last week the symptoms seemed to get really bad and my back and neck were in alot of pain. Also stomach was all messed up, no appetite, nose was running so we thought that was my body going through the herx. It's just these 2 symptoms won't go away like the other nuerological symptoms.

As for detoxing, probably not as much as I should. Only thing I've tried was pinella and burbur. I just never had to detox in the past when I went through this and I just let it "run its couse" and then I would feel 100%.

I think that neurological issues are usually the hardest and last thing to get eradicate when fighting Lyme. I've gotten better, not totally because it still happens, but I'll walk into a room or start something and can't remember why I did. It's especially frustrating when I can't remember if I took my pills or not. I take so many throughout the day it hard to keep track especially when I'm thinking about something else.

I use to have severe anxiety attacks, ended up in the ER twice because of it. I haven't had an attack in awhile *knock on wood* but I still get those moments where I get real nervous for no reason. Almost like I'm standing on the edge, just a little more and I'll go over and have a full blown attack. Plus on top of everything, I always have trouble describing my symptoms. Makes it especially difficult when talking to docs.

It's very similar to what you described. I always went through it went I had the symptoms relapses but this time it's taking forever to go away. It is very hard to describe and it's very frustrating!
