A panic attack is the abrupt onset of intense fear or discomfort that reaches a peak within minutes and includes at least four of the following symptoms:
Palpitations, pounding heart, or accelerated heart rate
Sweating
Trembling or shaking
Sensations of shortness of breath or smothering
Feelings of choking
Chest pain or discomfort
Nausea or abdominal distress
Feeling dizzy, unsteady, light-headed, or faint
Chills or heat sensations
Paresthesia (numbness or tingling sensations)
Derealization (feelings of unreality) or depersonalization (being detached from oneself)
Fear of losing control or “going crazy”
Fear of dying

I think the not being able to sit still thing has to do with the effects on our nervous system - more of a nervous energy that just won't quit. I used to pace a lot - now I only do it when I'm on the phone and need to be thinking a lot (LOL!).
I used to also start shaking/trembling so severely that I would literally "bounce" right off of whatever I was sitting/laying on. This happened in several doc's offices, and no one had an answer for that either - it's not seizures though. These were only something my muscles would go through - then I was completely exhausted for the next several hours.
