I called for an appointment today with a LLMD, 4/6/16 is my date. 75 people ahead on cancellation list. Wish there was a LLMD in Iowa I could see. Been waiting for 15-20 years waiting to find out what's wrong with me. What's another year.

I don't think my primary doc is Lyme literate. The medical group the doctor works for ran an ad for Lyme testing in the Des Moines paper. It makes me wonder what their treatment consists of. From what I understand LLMD's don't advertise.

OPcounselor, I don't understand. You got the name for the LLMD with no openings until next year out of the paper? Or that is another doctor?

Is it possible that there is another LLD near you you can see sooner? Do you need more names?

No the LLMD's name was given to me by someone with Lyme. My pcp works for the company that ran the ad. I called one other LLMD in MN that it was a year wait too. I called another and am waiting for a call back. On the Lifescript website there are many doctors listed who treat Lyme in IA but I don't know what their treatment consists of.
