blood pressure

a symptom i have had since the beginning is my blood pressure changes drastically. One day it will be great like 120's/ 70's then for what ever reason it will shoot up. The other day at dr it was 144/97. It has been doing this since last june. It has been worse than that at times. then a few hours later or a day later it will return to normal. I was sent to cardiologist in the beginning and i had a really low ejection fraction out put of 30's which they determined was caused by the lyme and mono i had at the time. but after some meds it has since got a lot better but the blood pressure thing has not. Anyone know the reason for this? Or anyone else have this happen?

Before starting treatment, my bp would be 110/70, sometimes a bit lower.

The last few years it went up. I usually have a 140-150/95-110, systolic will go up to 220 when doing an effort like riding a bike. Diastolic will go up to 140 (yes) like when I'm having severe abdominal cramps.
I know this because I bought a reliable bp meter.
Cardiologist says not to worry, probably high because of seeing a doctor (he wishes :smilewinklegrin: )

So mine stays high all the time, but drops from extremely high to high very very fast.

So I went to my GP with a list of my bp taken over several weeks, several times a day. He put me on an ACE inhibitor. He wanted to try this before trying betablockers.
Then just after that he diagnosed me with hypothyroidism, and now wants to see the results of the thyroidmeds on my bp. He thinks it'll go down.

My llmd, who's also a cardiologist says it's a normal Lyme symptom.

I've heard of sarcoidosis only because my PCP wanted me to get a chest CT scan to confirm or rule it out after my active Vit D level came back extremely elevated. (there's info about sarcoidosis in the link I share later in this post)

My LLMD and my research confirmed that an elevated active Vit D level can sometimes occur as part of the inflammatory process associated with Lyme.

I declined the CT scan because I didn't want the radiation exposure and I knew I wouldn't take the steroids my PCP would want to prescribe if I had sarcoidosis. (Steroids are contraindicated in Lyme).

I had recently started low-dose naltrexone as part of my Lyme treatment....and it's proven effective with sarcoidosis.

My active Vit D level went back to normal last check.

For whatever it's worth, the site I'm linking below mentions that other health conditions can cause an elevated A.C.E level......I wonder if Lyme is one of them.

I hope you follow your LLMD's advice on this one....especially since you don't want to take steroids unless it's a life or death situation. Steroids are contraindicated with Lyme.

Iv always read that lymes causes low blood pressure but with me it caused high blood pressure. I recently got diagnosed with paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia and am on a beta blocker called atenolol and it's helping so much.

So my neurologist sent me for a x ray to rule out the sarcoidosis. It was clean. So hes not sure why my A.C.E. levels are so high. my last test it was 124. supposed to be under 67. I was hoping someone had experience with this.....he says probably nothing to worry about and im not to concerned just curious i guess.
My neurologist btw is awesome he is working with my llmd to help me through this! If anyone needs a llmd or neurologist in jacksonville fl let me know i have two good ones!!
