Hi all,

I just received my Igenex results and it looks like I have Lyme. I don't want to waste any more time with doctors in Ontario. I have spoken with a LLND in Richmond, BC. Apparently ND's in BC can RX ABX. This ND and others in BC have told me they need to meet me once in person and can then do followups via Skype. Cost of a flight to Vancouver notwithstanding this seems to be the most cost effective option.

I'm wondering if there are any benefits of seeing a LLMD in NY or elsewhere in the US over seeing a LLND in BC.

Does anyone know if a pharmacy in Ontario will fill prescriptions from a ND in BC, or from a MD in the US?

Toronto- I'm seeing Dr. C. in Richmond -I think another member posted that the prescription can be filled and mailed to you....I know there is a Pharmacy right by Dr. C.'s office...and it's also a compounding pharmacy which could prove to be useful at some time during treatment.

Give Dr. C.'s office a call and explain your situation. Another member from Ontario just recently saw him and she's getting antibiotics...and she's from Ontario...so I'm thinking they are being mailed.

Or, perhaps the Ontario pharmacies will fill a prescription from ND in BC? Maybe call a pharmacy and ask them...then you can call Dr. C.

Dr. C's follow ups are often only half hour long...so less than $100.00 appt.

Also, you can claim the appt.s on income tax, along with the hotel, meals, etc. Not sure about airfare though.

I called my ND's office - and the prescriptions are filled here in BC near the ND's office and the pharmacy mails them to the patients...

great, thanks again... I'll see if my benefits carrier will cover scrips from pharmacies in BC...

What about US prescriptions? What's the deal with them? Can you bring them back to Ontario and have them filled here?

I saw Dr c 1 month ago, live in Ontario. I flew there with my daughter. I just had my first telephone consult on Wednesday. scripts are filled by pharma save in Richmond and sent to me by purolator r overnite. I pay for my scripts. It works for me, wish I had gone a year ago.........

This sounds good, glad he works for everyone. Hoping my insurance will cover the scrips but at this point it doesn't really matter
