Treating infections one at a time vs. simultaneously

Hi all,

So I was wondering how many of you all are treating one infection at a time vs treating them all at the same time. Treating them at the same time means you're on a lot of different things at once, whether it be lots of herbs, abx, or both. But I seem to respond much better when I'm treating everything together. I just feel much better not only with my symptoms but also because I know I'm getting everything. Symptoms from each of my infections are different and I can now determine which symptoms are from which infections.

Initially, I treated lyme with antibiotics (for many months) and used herbs to treat Bart at the same time.

Now, I'm on Bart abx...but it would encompass lyme, too, since the rifampin is paired with minocycline.

Depending on how I feel, i'm thinking of asking my LLND if I can take the Tinidazole that I have a couple times a week with the Rif and mino...just to ensure i'm not leaving some cyst form lying around.

I don't think I would add in Babesia pharmaceuticals - ie Mepron...as I think it would be too much for my body to handle. I already stopped abx once due to liver enzymes climbing.

DazePete - did you do pharm for both babs and bart at the same time?

I was treating the 3 "big ones" (Lyme, Bart and Babs) when following the full Cowden protocol.

I'm now transitioning to Buhner's Lyme and Babs protocols and will decide about adding his Bart protocol once I'm at full doses of the first 2....and I see how I'm doing with my symptoms.

Since I've learned that different bacteria communicate with each other, I like the idea of a multi-infection attack.....with herbs.

My symptoms have always been mild so, I'm fine with the methods of attack I've chosen....and my LLMD agrees.

I'm doing IV abx for lyme and BW formulas for babs and bart. But the infections shift every now and then. Seems like Babs sx are dominant recently.

LLMD and I are waiting for lyme infection to reduce so that I can get off Rocephin and incorporate other things for bart and babs. My body can't tolerate too much at once.

I agree with -p... When I was on IV Rocephin I would alternate back and forth with a Mepron combo for babs and then a Rocephin combo for bart. Early on in treatment it may have been a bit much on the liver to fight all three at once.

Although I was once on IV Rocephin, Actigol, Mepron, Zith, Bactrim and Tindamax at the same time.

I feel as though treating all at the same time is my only option. I feel so much better when I treat them simultaneously. The symptoms from each are intense enough that I go into a pretty deep depression whenever I'm not treating one of them. My liver and GI system have been doing well so I see no harm in treating all at the same time. It isn't for everyone, but I believe it's the right thing for me.

At the moment, I'm currently on bactrim, biaxin, pulsing clindy/quinine, and pulsing tindamax. Just got bloodwork back and liver is looking good so no issues there. Just my BUN and BUN/Creatinine ratio were high but that's from the bactrim and I'm going to start drinking even more water to help that.

I'm also treating everything at once..... One reason is -how do we really know what were infected with? The symptoms overlap with many of the infections....

Simultaneous bartonella and babesia herbal protocols have fixed us right up!
