I wanted to give some feedback on my treatment that I started back around March.
I went to a pain management Dr of Osteopathy who manages Lyme and other conditions. She's not a strict LLMD but she is a problem solver.
She started me on Glutathione/ Magnesium IVs weekly and then added in Ozone IV. The ozone was generally every 3 weeks. I have also been following a gluten free and dairy free diet.
In the beginning I would feel good on the Glutathione/ mag days and then when ozone day came I would crash for the day, then feel good the next day. The first 2 - 3 months I was up and down, good days and bad days. But slowly I had more good days.
By summer I started to feel a lot better and then got really serious on my diet, went pure Paleo. Then there were even more good days. In mid July I was feeling so good that I was able to stop the weekly treatments and have gone to a monthly maintenance of glutathione/ Mag and Ozone.
My muscle pain is barely an issue. My brain is more clear and my energy is now fairly stable. I've been carefully practicing energy management even though feeling good but this weekend I went nuts with activities. I was busy the entire weekend. This included detailing my new car with the buffer and waxing it on a hot day. Helping a friend buy a new car and two photography shoots (photography is a passion of mine) I was tired but I didn't crash. Every muscle in my body ached but I wasn't injured. The next day I went to work and was fine. In the past one photography shoot would have killed me for the weekend and I haven't detailed my car in several years. I'm able to walk several miles without my muscles locking up. I am amazed at how good I feel.
I'm writing this to give you hope that you can get better. I don't think I can cheat on my diet and I think I always have to watch the inflammation but I am so much better now. The IV treatments were majorly effective without ripping me apart.
I am cautiously optimistic and not calling myself cured but I know I'm much better. I plan to continue eating strict paleo for life. I will keep the monthly treatments up for awhile as I don't want to slip backwards. The ozone IV ran $175 a treatment, the glutathione/ magnesium was partly covered by insurance as were the doctor appointments. While this wasn't cheap it was a lot cheaper than past treatments that didn't offer this kind of results.
That's the experience I'm having right now. I hope this helps someone

Amazing! Thank you for sharing! I'm with you on the diet too. I don't completely follow it but I eat a marrow beef broth once a week and even just doing that does wonders.! Ozone is something I was interested in but never had to do, glad it is working for you!

I knew going in that what I was doing was considered experimental but I can't handle antibiotics and herbs were too strong too. Even essential oils on my feet were causing massive cramping. This treatment was fairly gentle and it worked for me.
I don't know how easy it is to find practitioners that offer ozone IV and my DO seemed to believe that the glutathione/ Mag combination was really the best way to deal with it.
I wish all of you the best in healing, Lyme is frustrating and makes you feel so alone when no one understands.
