Flare up or virus

I have not had any flareups for exactly a year...am on herbs , rife etc and no antibiotics. I have been having flu like symptoms for a good 5 days,,,neck aches on sides of neck eye socket and one side of head...ache and some joint aches. I called my lyme dr. and he said I can go back on doxy if I want to. But these symptoms are a little different from my usual feelings of lyme. I never had eye socket aches or side of neck ache?? I was checked no stroke and blood work done at ER. Usually when I get run down I take a day and sleep..this time it didn't help?

No one is sure if its a virus or not?? It makes me crazy and people think im nuts!! Of course I get panicky as I have been doing so well. No fever, no night sweats??

Any insight is apprecitated!

Could the side of neck pain actually be swollen lymph nodes?

Are you still following a detox protocol? If yes, why not add to it and see if it makes a difference. If not, I suggest starting one for the same reason. You might discover something.

I'd hate the thought of reinfection but it's possible for any one of us. Buhner recommends astragalus in cases such as these.

Are there any anti-viral herbs in your arsenal? You might increase the dose(s) if you do.

All the while, I suggest you pay close attention to your body

Those are not flu symptoms. That Im sure. My guess its Lyme, the veterans know more than I.

Thank you for the info!!! I am back on Doxy for a bit I guess. The only thing I did different is started taking Womens Daily Multivitamin which has a lot of minerals in it. I have since stopped as it seemed it was making me feel bad. Could the minerals have caused a herx?? I am familiar with herx and which usually feels like fatigue and just general lousy feeling, so this threw me as it didn't feel like a regular flare up or detox?

I am finally starting to feel better after over a week and yes I did a epston salt bath but not until last night.

I'm stumped as Im well informed of all aspects of Lyme.

If you have methylation issues, it could be a reaction to the multivitamin. I would give it a week or two and try not to stress.

A couple months ago, I had a bad reaction to coconut bread because I could not tolerate high amounts of the inulin in the coconut flour. It set off my gut and then I had increased pain in places affected by Lyme and Co.

Try not to stress. Please let us know. :)
