i had this. in my opinion it can be two major things
- heart issues - not circulation as cause but heart - which of course will affect your circulation - go check your heart. i took lots of supplements that help with heart but i never had permanent heart damage, and you might have. so dont take my advice for granted, go check it out first.
if everything checks in fine, u could ask your dr if u can take CoQ10 100mg/day , hawthorn, rhodiola, some form of chelated magnesium, etc.
- endocrine related - check your thyroid, adrenals, etc... ashwagandha helps balance adrenals
generally if u have positive lyme and u treat it successfully, it will go away on its own.
in my experience "detoxing" alone never helped this significantly. good luck fixing this with charcoal or lemon water. it never worked for me.
Good comments, mpost.
I was going to comment on Erectile Dysfunction (ED) sometimes being the "Canary in the Coal Mine," regarding heart disease. But, the original post was almost three years ago.
Supposedly, if one has vascular disease anywhere then they have it everywhere. And, of course, it can manifest in areas with smaller vessels first - thus, ED.
Also, good guidance on hormonal issues. Since my original interest in health was in the diet world and not Chronic Lyme Disease, cold hands and feet are common with people who are either restrictive dieters (avoiding certain macronutrients, for example) or those just unknowingly not eating sufficient amounts of calories. Also, drinking too much water can be a contributing factor.
These can lead to a low waking basal temperature, icy fingers and toes, urinating a lot (usually clear), poor sleep, digestive issues, low libido, etc. All potential signs of low metabolic function. Of course, like most things, these symptoms can also overlap with other conditions.
