The scary part is that it will get really high and my pulse will too.

Buhner says it is the lyme. My LLMD doesn't care he wants mine down and now I am on pills for BP.

I am going to go the doc's route for a month and then I will start in on some motherwort as Buhner suggests.

Anyone else get high blood pressure and tachycardia.

Dang is there any symptom not related to lyme?

Mine was crazy high after I first started on abx's. Than it was ok for about 9 months.

Then in April my relaxed, resting pulse was 100-106. Since then my BP has been wacky. My systolic is ok but my diastolic (sp) is often right at or below 100. It's the Lyme or Bart. I'm currently on IM Invanz and that's settled it down finally.

It might just be a toxin issue. My issue started when I was on the most effective protocol. I stopped it right away. I have a feeling detox detox detox is the best response for this too. Garlic tabs are the natural blood pressure tool.

I appreciate that your LLMD is choosing safe over sorry. I purchased a heart rate monitor for my peace of mind.

No dang it....there isn't anything that isn't related to Lyme. It's crazy

one of the first symptoms I had was my b.p. shooting way up. I was a avid runner and in very good shape before I started down this road a year and a half ago. I was sent to a cardiologist after my dr noticed the b p issues. I had a echocardio done and my ejection fraction was 35% which is crazy low for a young person in great shape. The infection got in my heart......after about 6 months of meds it finally came back to normal!

I have a heart rate monitor that we had to use for hubby a couple of years ago. Racing heart was one of my first symptoms and shortly thereafter came the high blood pressure. This was when I was undiagnosed and going to my gp. He put me on meds for it. I do not like taking meds with their 2 pages of side effects.

Now my LLMD says in addition to that pill my gp gave me he wants me to take another pill. He is that concerned about it. I haven't talked to the LLMD, but today I am going to start a small dose of Motherwort.

I tell you that if you want to make sense out of your symptoms you are not going to. Absolutely no consistency to any of it.

Timely post for me. I have POTS, so my BP HR are directly effected by positional changes. I have been taking drugs to keep the BP high enough to keep the HR down. I started antibiotics a month ago and had no changes that I noticed in these. Last week I started a beta and alpha agonist for crazy neurotransmitters (basically BP meds) which sent my HR soaring and BP too at different times and not the result of changes in position. I was wondering if it was related to herxing/Lyme. My llmd is at a conference this week so the nurse said to stop the new meds which I have done. My BP got scary high yesterday, 2.5 days after the last dose of these meds. In a way it is nice to know I am not alone and that hopefully detoxing more will help.

I too suffered with POTS, but I had consistently low blood pressure, while my Mom and brother both are on meds for high BP. Now that I've healed, my BP has increased some, but I'm still in a good range.
