Does Jernigan's formulas like Borrelogen keep working after you stop taking it?

No, it doesn't go on killing after you stop taking it for any longer than any other herbs would. If it was a permanent effect, everyone would be flocking to Dr. Jernigan's office!!

Dr. Jernigan's products are herbal/natural, so they will respond in the same way. You may find that a few weeks off of them doesn't set you back too far, but do be prepared to herx when you start back up, as your bacterial load will have increased again.

His products are just herbs, like buhner's or cowden's, and aren't unique to anything. They may help treat different infections, but as far as working via "frequencies", it sounds like he is trying to make claims about his products to differentiate them from other lyme products. If you look at the ingredients, they're just herbs, not magic secret tinctures.

superj50- The answer is NO- When you take the Borrelogen, it does not continue to do its job after you stop taking it. My daughter took it for about 10 consecutive months. She also took several other products as well for a long time.

DazedPete1- Sure, the Jernigan herbs ARE "just herbs," but they are NOT "like Buhner's or Cowdens". and they ARE "unique to anything." They certainly are very unique. They certainly can not be found in either of the Buhner or Cowden products. The difference does not end there either.

The herbs that Buhner and Cowden uses as antimicrobials act directly on the microbes. The Jernigan products do not contain ANY antimicrobials, and DO NOT directly kill microbes. I would say that Borrelogen is fairly unique in that respect wouldn't you? As has been said, the herbs in Borrelogen are selected according to their unique frequencies that Dr. J. has determined are most beneficial in providing necessary information to the immune system, which in turn kills the microbes. In my opinion, this approach is very unique indeed! Dr. J. believes that it is advantageous to train the immune system to respond properly rather than to ingest substances that "kill" things.

While you erroneously imply that Dr. J's claim's are without merit, you are correct in that he does differentiate between his products and the others on the market! You also err in labeling them "magic" or "secret". Dr. J. does not present his products as such.

I am curious DazedPete- if the Jernigan herbs are just herbs, and yet, according to science, cannot directly kill any microbes.... what do they do to cure the patient? You tell me. Hint... there is a whole universe of living things out there that have their own unique frequencies. Everything ingested into the body has the capability of either helping or hindering body, mind, and spirit function.... depending on the frequency signature, and how it is applied!

superj50- Yes, she did go to the Hansa Center, but she had to take stuff such as borrelogen for many months after she left the clinic.

I personally used several detoxing methods on Heather for about a year before she went to the Hansa Center. The Epsom Salt/ Hydrogen peroxide bath and the Ionic Foot Detox was at the center of her detoxing regimen. We also had access to a FIR sauna, and Lymphatic Vibrational Plate machine as well. We also had her use the Buhner Smilax and the Nutramedix Burbur and Pinella internally. Still, despite all of this she relapsed, so we had to take her to the Hansa Center.

At the Hansa Center they had her do the Ionic Foot Detox, Therapeutic Massage, Antitox Formula, and Lymphatic Drainage. For some reason Dr. J. decided that Heather did not need, or was not a candidate for the FIR sauna. Of course Heather received many other treatments while she was at the clinic other than detox.

Dr. J. has gone on record by saying that he thinks that a FIR sauna is the single best at-home detoxing equipment to have. I happen to like the Ionic Foot Detox a lot. The Epsom Salt/Hydrogen Peroxide baths are very effective. The Antitox products are also important and effective.

Other things that I had Heather do prior to going to the Hansa Center was use a rebounder/mini-trampoline for the Lymphatics. She drank lots of filtered water with fresh squeezed lemon juice. She drank a bentonite clay/psyllium seed "shake" a few times a week to cleanse the colon. She also took chlorella tablets to bind toxins. We also had a person come into our home to apply a Reflexology Foot Massage.

With the passage of time, and since I have not been very active on this forum recently, I have probably forgotten a few other things that we did!
