Hello everyone!
As the title of this post implies, I have some very persistent oral and intestinal candida. I have tried a lot of things to try to get rid of it, but I haven't been able to get rid of it. Here's what I'm currently taking:
- Nystatin oral powder 1million units 4x/day
- caprylic acid
- coconut oil pulling
- cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, and cumin
- plant-based digestive enzymes
- vitamin C
- sugar-free, yeast-free, fruit-free diet
Wow that is such a Candida nuclear bomb! All of these are quite deadly to fungus. Are you sure you have extensive intestinal candidasis ? I am asking because that is notoriously difficult diagnosis to make. Candida is a normal part of the human intestinal flora and you will NOT be able to fully kill it. Nobody has ever had.
Oral thrush may indicate an imbalance in the gut bacteria, not necessarily candida overgrowth.
Have you had any testing done ? There is a test that checks if you have for example Candida antigens in the blood. That may indicate systemic candidasis, it is a serious condition and usually treated with systemic antifungals like Fluconazole (Diflucan). If you dont have it in your blood, i dont think there is a big reason to panic. With diet and antifungals it can get under control. But are you sure this is what makes you sick ?
Speaking about
imbalance, you take lots of antifungals but how about
some probiotics and prebiotics ? You will not get rid of Candida if you dont repopulate your gut with healthy bacteria.
