My story may not be helpful, but when I read my first post by someone with hearing loss I thought a long while about what it meant.
So I went through two pregnancies with full blown "Fibromyalgia". My kids were both sick with ear infections and strep. My daughter started at ten months. After months of spending our entire life at the peds office, our doctor put her daily amoxicillin. After about 18 months if switched to rifampin for strep. In late elem school, she failed the hearing test and sent us to an audiologist who prescribed two hearing aids.
We muddled along until one day she had her 6 month hearing recheck. It took a while and eventually the audiologist brought me back into the room. The results were perfect - no hearing loss at all. No one had ever heard of hearing loss going back to normal.
So when I learned about Lyme and then had a friend who is an me ask me about ear pain, I was shocked. No one knew I had ear pain.
After learning, about Lyme I wondered if two years on abx and another stint on Rifampin was enough to knock Lyme into remission and her hearing loss was the normal result of untreated Lyme.
She is (at23) completely a symptomati. Her brother though has many symptoms and was on short courses of abx.
Questions to ask yourself,
