Is my fiancee "sick enough" to have Lyme?

Hi friends,

Over the past couple of weeks my fiancee has experienced pain in her shoulder, lower back, and wrist that I would characterize as migratory in nature. Given my own history with Lyme (and my family history), I am suspicious that she may have it.

My question is: Is she "sick enough" to have Lyme? I had a constellation of symptoms for Lyme and Bart (ie a textbook case) but (so far) she has only experienced these migratory pains.

I will be pressuring her into seeing an LLMD and getting blood work done from IGeneX, but I am curious to hear thoughts from this community.

There are documented cases of it being passed between partners, so it's always best to stay on the side of caution. Most definitely get her in to see the LLMD. It's not a matter of being 'sick enough' though, it's a matter of if she has the bacteria inside of her - you don't want her to wait until she's "sick enough" to prove she has it. That's when it take a lot of treatment to overcome it. Hit it now, before it seriously compromises her health.

I too would like to advice you to go and see a LLMD...

Everyone is affected differently. My symptoms started about 20yrs ago, infection probably about 4yrs prior to that. But my symptoms got worse and worse over time. Others get symptoms full blast right away.

I suspect my husband to be infected as well... his symptoms are not close to being as bad as mine, but it's scary to recognize very specific symptoms and see changes happening. I'm trying to convince him to get tested too...
