Chapelle I think it's possible that when you used diflucan it hit your Lyme. To me and in my own personal experience... The symptoms you had mentioned sounded like Lyme symptoms to me and not candida. That is of course just what I think based on my experiences. But opening up to possibilities of what is really going on we can say maybe it did hit candida and that allowed your immune system to clean up the Lyme? Also fluconazole has Flouride in the molecule which means it gets all over inside the body, including nerves and in the brain... And it's a small molecule... So it does get to some
Hard to reach places in the body.
I have read in multiple places on the internet that have said diflucan treats Lyme. I have read it mainly from blogs made by people with Lyme. But I also read about a doctor who beat their Lyme with diflucan... Yup it was mentioned they completely beat Lyme with it... They did treat with some
Abx before though. Of course you know me lol, I read lots and lots... Patient blogs, doctors blogs, research articles, this forum too, unfortuneately I don't remember where I read everything so I don't have references ready, I would have to search where I found it.
Also fluconazole is an Azole. So is tinidazole and metronidazole... But the Tini and flagyl have Reactive NO2 nitro groups, especially react strongly in parts of the body with low oxygen... which is what there mechanism of action is from. Fluconazole doesn't have that NO2... Who knows maybe it works on Lyme because it's an Azole? Maybe it works because it has fluoride on it? Lol. Who knows why it works, I don't even think the researchers know why, they just found it does work.... And other patients and Lyme doctors have also found it works based on their own symptoms or clinical judgements.
I'm glad you are feeling better Though Chapelle!
