POTSies, how long treating Lyme & co for POTS relief?

I've been treating Lyme and company since September, 2015 with doxy, and babs with plaquenil for a month at full strength. I don't think I have had any improvement in the POTS. I'm just wondering how long it takes treating the Lyme to see improvement in the POTS? Thanks.

How long have you had lyme? Was it a recent infection?

So, you were on doxy alone for about 3 months?
If your infection was something you had for several months or longer...then after one month, another antibiotic should have been added. - So, in October, something should have been paired with the doxy - often it's a macrolide...zithro or biaxin.

My POTS has gotten a lot better...but it took several months of treatment in my case.
I would think the bacterial load would have to be lowered significantly for the POTS to get better.

Thanks, Girlie. We got seriously side-tracked adding new antibiotics by treating the POTS (resulted in a bad flare), adrenal fatigue, low thyroid (still working on those). I probably had Lyme for decades but had been on doxy for cystic acne for 10 years. The theory is that after 2 back-to-back viruses that resulted in me stopping the doxy the Lyme went nuts and shortly after that the POTS started. Typically, both diagnoses took months. We plan to treat the babs for another 6-8 weeks (I never tested positive on Igenex be seems prudent), then add zithro and eventually ceftin. Do you credit anything in (antibiotic or ??) with helping the POTS or was it just killing the critters and getting your other systems back in working order?

I read POTS is from Autonomic Nervous system dysfunction.
My symptoms of the ANS dys. are/were: increase in heart rate when standing up. In fact my heart rate while sitting is higher than it used to be, too.
Also, temperature dysregulation, venous pooling (feet), light-headedness.

I believe my improvement was because of treating lyme.
