Does anybody use a LLMD on Long Island that they would recommend? I know over the years people have recommended a few but I dont think they were that great. i have gone to Connecticut but I dont want to do that again. The one or two in NYC are so expensive.

unfortunately the ones I heard about on LI did not have good reviews either. yes, the NYC Drs are very expensive. wish i could help more! believe me, i have searched and searched, but I can't find anyone reputable enough out here, despite the number of lyme cases. I even asked the people at the stonybrook lab if they could recommend anyone, and they did, but she didn't have good reviews either. I can give you her name, if you want to give her a shot anyway. she does take insurance. I did this only for future reference for others, bc I am very happy with my NYC doctor, despite the costs.

Can you e-mail me her name? I will call and feel her out. I just cant afford the fees in NYC. I was doing okay for a long time. Not perfect by far, but holding my own somewhat. I suddenly feel very ill again. I have constant tingling in my head and a feeling of off balance. I never got rid of it but it was not constant. All of a sudden I have the symptoms almost all day with waves of dizzy or lightheadedness. Cant take this anymore!!!!!!

I can also give you the name of a lyme literate acupuncturist who I see on Long Island who is great, if you're willing to do that. I don't recall if we've emailed before.

Chapelle, he does take my insurance, I just pay my specialist copay. I know some insurance companies won't cover acupuncture at all-- but I think his standard fee (w/o insurance) is very reasonable.

there is an excellent dr on LI, Dr. G

my friend here in nj takes her son every week, all the way out there, he is holistic and studied with the best...
