You do realize that's a chemo drug, right? I would encourage you to try the anti-inflammatories and combinations of them with herbs before going with a chemo drug as there are major side effects from these drugs (
www.drugs.com/sfx/methotrexate-side-effects.html).
Here is just one that would keep many Lyme patients from being able to use it even if it did work: "Hematologic side effects have included myelosuppression which is one of the primary toxic effects of methotrexate. Methotrexate suppressed hematopoiesis has been reported to have caused anemia, aplastic anemia, pancyt
openia, leuk
openia, neutr
openia, thrombocyt
openia, lymphadenopathy, and lymphoproliferative disorders including reversible hypogammaglobulinemia."
"Preexisting myelosuppression or low hematologic cell counts are contraindications to the use of this drug."
I've "helped" 2 family members through chemo, this is something you need to think over very carefully if you haven't yet. I know that we can certainly reach the end of our rope quickly with too much pain and inflammation, but we do want to be careful to not do more damage by using drugs that are very hard on the body if we can.
