pressure in head/eyes when bending over

Is this a lyme symptom? I haven't seen much on it but I know regular head pressure can be lyme related. It came around the time of other symptoms. I noticed I can no longer bend over to weed my flower beds. My head feels so much pressure and my vision gets wonky. Almost makes me feel cross-eyed and just out of it for a while. Not sure how else to explain it.

I have/had that. Not only when I bend over, but just standing up from sitting.

It was really bad prior to treatment...and has gotten better...especially since I went on the minocycline.

I'm thinking it may have helped because of it's ability to penetrate the blood/brain barrier.

Japanese Knotweed is an herb that also has that ability.

I only get lightheaded when I stand and lose my vision for a bit. If I bend over to garden my eyes/head will bother me for a long time after. But comforting to know it is likely lyme. It's crazy all these little symptoms that I lived with for 5 years that I just chalked up to getting old! I am in my late 30's! Was only 33 when all this odd ball stuff started.

I have been taking JK since December. I think my next round of antibiotics needs to include mino. Thanks for your input!

My autonomic nervous system seems to be affected by Lyme/bart...

I think that may be the cause of some of those symptoms, too.
Does your heart rate increase when you bend over?

i haven't checked mine when bending over...but I know when I stand up my heart rate does increase - into the 90's.

I've never checked my heart rate. I have so many autonomic symptoms. I want to buy something to check my heart rate. It's usually pretty high normally and I have lowish blood pressure.

I haven't been diagnosed with Lyme, but I'm actually seeing my doctor tomorrow for igenex testing. I have this same feeling in my head when bending over and sometimes have to close my eyes for a second. I also get this pressure in my head when I pick up my daughter to put her in her car seat. I have a lot of head symptoms & have headaches almost 24/7.

I'm glad you are getting the Igenex test done. Are you getting the Lyme Western Blot IgM and IgG?

Yes I plan to get the western blot IgM and IgG. Do you know if there is a number or code for this one? I don't know if you remember but my dr ordered the PCR test last time so I want to be sure to order the correct one! I've heard that igenex holds on to your blood for a few months. I wonder if I should use the blood they already have or get the lab to draw more?

On the test requisition forum - down near the bottom of the page in the 'single tests' section -

LYME (Borrelia burgdorferi)
188 Lyme Western Blot IgM (86617)
189 Lyme Western Blot IgG (86617)

It's up to you whether you want to have the lab draw more...i think I would just have them use the blood they have.

Sounds a lot like Lyme induced POTS. I'd get it checked out.
