Lyme or Lymphoma? has anyone had both?

Due to my repeated negatives for Lyme(I only had 1*band on my 2nd Lyme test 2014), bart, and babs, my ND has ordered blood tests looking for Lymphoma(except Im still doing antimicrobials). I have a high viral load including EBV which has been linked to Lymphoma. Also, for many years Ive dealt with swollen lymph nodes in the neck, upper neck bhind ears, and groin. Ive been taking a lymph drainage tincture by Pekana; but I havnt noticed any difference in the left arm-pit.

So after almost 2 years of Lyme treament, mycoplasma, Cpn, and virals; still quite ill with increasing symptoms of memory problems, depression, and inability to control moods.

well anyway, Im having anxiety over the possibility of lymphoma, as if its not bad enough having all the other infections to deal with. I guess I should not jump to any conclusions and wait for the results, eh?

Is it non-hodgkin's lymphoma you are being tested for?

Are your swollen lymph nodes sore? If so, that usually indicates an infection. They're not usually sore with lymphoma.

A lot of the symptoms of lymphoma could also be lyme...I remember looking it up when I was searching for an answer.
If your EBV is activated - it could be the cause of your swollen lymph nodes...
No don't jump to conclusions...I did that too many times...

You might find an answer if you send your blood down to galaxy labs and have them test for the 17 strains of bartonella. I think that there are 12 species that cause human infection. Standard bartonella tests only look for 2 species and their tests aren't very accurate. This test from Galaxy requires you to be off antibiotics for 2-3 weeks so they can get the most accurate result possible. I'm not saying you have bartonella but it's worth a shot. Your mention of lymph nodes, depression, anxiety, memory problems and mood swings kind of rang a bell in my head.

yes, my Lymph nodes are quite sore. Ive seen the list of Lymphoma symptoms of which I have all but the unexplained weight LOSS.

I guess because I dont seem to be getting better after almost 2 years of treatment, I and the doc are exploring other possibilites. And my very impatient husand who expects results, keeps saying, "Its probably something worse than Lyme"!!!! Which infuriates me as if Lyme isnt bad enough.

oh I forgot to mention my EVER present tiredness & fatigue, intermittent, searing stabbing nerve pain in legs, shoulders, forearms, etc, and joint crackels and stiffness.

is nerve pain a symptom of lymphoma? I didn't think it was.

I'm betting on bartonella - what did you use to treat bartonella in the past?

My last husband had Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma - and it was a very aggressive form of it. He was in remission 3 times in 3 years and it still came back again. He didn't have nerve pain, but of course this doesn't mean no one does.

Please do let us know how things go, Sweetpea. I'm glad you are checking into other possibilities, just in case, but remember that you may just haven't found what your body can work with yet to heal either. I have a Lyme friend that I've known for the last 9 years that has tried nearly every single thing out there for her infections. She has just tried essential oils for the first time last month, and has finally started to heal. I'm not saying for you to rush out to try EO's, only that we have to find what our bodies will work with.

Sweetpea, my lymph got swollen with killing of lyme...the macrophages have a lot of cleaning up when we kill. I have had weird wasting and weight loss too..they did paraneoplastic and protien test and kicked me out of oncologists thank goodness it was him that said lyme? he was from india...there is a tie between lymphoma and lyme...but also ms and als and every other idiopathic condition....have you tryed red root?...rife Detox or chinese herbs?....go for the root...was your band 41 positive? http://lymphoma.about.com/od/livingwithleukemia/fl/Lymphoma-or-Lyme-Disease.htm

Sweetpea~I think the LD & co is what is implicated with neck/throat/head with so many. And lymphoma, another label that comes from somewhere. As Girlie mentioned, pain is not typically indicated for cancers, but good you re exploring all areas.
