Has anyone ever seen a Neuropsychologist when dealing with Neuro Lyme? If so, did seeing this type of Dr help?

I would imagine the neuropsychologist would need to be Lyme-literate to be of any use.

There was a post on this last year. Only one I can remember.

So you might use the search, since its only for this forum.

Thing is though, what a LL phyc going to do? They won't "cure" you.

If your looking for an additional diagnosis (for disability ect)because you need one, they could do that.

My LLMD recommended me seeing a neuropsychologist due to still having head issues after a yr of numerous antibiotics. He is kind of stumped. He said he never had anyone like me. I saw a lyme psychiatrist but that has not worked as well. Some of the prescriptions he wanted me to take, I don't feel confortable taking.

The reason wanted to see a neuropsychologist is bc they focus on the brain and just trying to rule anything else out.

Thing is, they cant be 100% sure either. Its their educated guess, based on your testing results. And if insc does not cover, its around 2K, almost 2 days of testing. Written, verbal, and "spatial board/table games" are included and scored LOL, for real.

Candida and low thyroid can mimic nuero issues/symptoms too. Both are very common here.
