Question for any body out there that knows or has experienced. Is shooting pains through the groin and into the gonads normal with lymes?
I have had bouts with some extreme pains in that area that come and go and have found areas that swell with lumps that are some times there and sometimes not.
I have seen doc for it and had an ultrasound that showed vericoceles on both side and right sided hydrocele but doc says it could be normal. I have never had this happen before and it freaks me out.
A little embarrassing as well and than to have them say that nothing is wrong when I know better than that. That is why I am curious to see other experiences out there to know if I can put it on the lymes as well or if I should still pursue it.
Thanks a million for any imput,
Nick

If the doctor has ruled out his stuff then I wonder why he did not think about
your lymph glands that are located in that area?
I had lots of lymph symptoms with lyme. Mostly in my clavicle and behind my ear. But there are some lymph glands in your groin.
If you are interested in herbs, Red Root is what I took to help me. You have to be careful and just take one drop and very slowly work up to your level.
Also another thing that might help is lymph massage. Please be gentle and go very slowly with this also because it can make you herx. There are videos on lymph massage for the groin on the internet.
I am not a doctor, so I am only guessing. To be extra cautious you might want to just call the doctor and suggest it and see what he says.

I had swollen lymph nodes in my groin and it felt just as you describe.
I hadn't learned about
Red Root back then and I just suffered.
Now I take Red Root daily (working up as PeteZa shared) and I've done lymph massage the few times I've had swollen lymph nodes.
Thankfully, I don't really deal with that issue anymore but I still take my Red Root and increase it if I'm sick with a cold or something. It's one of the herbs I plan on having on hand for the rest of my life.

What is red root exactly? I have heard many on here talk about
it but have never heard of it before about
a week ago.

Every month I used to get those sorts of pains you describe, but lately it's a new one- right in the belly button area -seems like a tghtening in deep there - just painful when it is happening. Anyway, for those pains you describe, two months ago, I started rebounding and it seems to alleviate it some. I have worked up to 10 minutes, but 3 minutes rebounding is a great way to start lymph drainage - great for detoxing.

I think I remember that those with bartonella complained of groin area pain and swelling of the lymph nodes.

Red root is an herb that can help with the lymph system (detoxing) among other things:

Buhner recommends Red Root tincture.
Some of his recommended sources are Woodland Essence, Sage Woman Herbs, Monteagle Herbs, Montana Farmacy. All of these companies have websites.
