Email is in my profile.
Have an apt with a PA (recommended by my naturopath) in a couple weeks that I know zip about
. Scheduled appt because I was able in get in with only a couple of weeks notice. Wondering if I would be better working with an MD. Anyone have experience using a PA for diagnosing and treating Lyme? I understand they can write script
s and order labs. Can they do everything that a dr can?
Thank you

What is a PA? Is that Physician Assistant?
Is this PA lyme literate? You need someone who knows how to diagnose and treat lyme and co-infections.
I would make sure they can order labs before making an appointment.

How many Lyme patients does he/she have? That may give you an idea of how experienced they are.

PA is a Physicians Assistant. If you find a good conscientious one they can be even better than a MD. They will research like crazy. But, just a so-so one won't do you any good.
k07's and Girlie's questions are good questions to ask!

K07, Girlie and PeteZa thank you for your advice and suggested questions.
I have felt bad for 20+ years. Like others I've spent much time and money searching for an answer. I have been down the rabbit hole and back. Hopeful an answer is within reach. I can't express my frustration in dealing with the medical industry. The "usual" labs that docs run have always looked fine. However, my IGeneX results tell a different story.
Grateful to have found this forum.

You are so very welcome and if you have any questions, please ask. We all were where you are at one time and it was scary and so unknown.....
Hugs of hope,
~Annette
