So I've had an extremely hectic, long, stressful week....my bart feet are really kicking and screaming and other pains and electric bolts of pain are super active the last few days.

Here's a new one, though....my fingernails are killing me! WTH? Several of my fingernails feel as though they've been slammed in a door and one of them feels as though I have a stinger in it and it is red and swollen. It's kind of limited to my nails and nail beds, but my knuckles are a little sore, too. I'm assuming this is a new symptom of bart brought on by the stress of the week? Never had this symptom.

Does this sound familiar to any of you? There is no reason whatsoever that my hands would be in any kind of shape like this.

No, I don't usually have swollen joints.....but one of my early, early symptoms since I got in a car accident a while back was pain in the bendy joint in my right thumb....it's kind of the early warning symptom that I'm gonna have a rough couple of days interestingly enough. The joint will get hot (you can actually feel the heat coming off of it) but I've not really noticed swelling. My feet will sometimes turn a weird shade of purplish red from time to time, but also no swelling either.

Yes, the nail bed is sore....you're exactly right. The finger with the swelling on the side like a stinger is red....almost feels like an ingrown toenail but on my finger!

So weird! This is all so weird. I'm pretty sure this is all stress related bartonella stuff, but sometimes you just don't know, right? I always appreciate affirmation that this is not something else I need to worry about.

I haven't handled any chemicals, overused my hands, or had any injuries or accidents that would cause this sudden issue.

I've never experienced the finger nails hurting (yet) but my finger tips have definitely hurt/ached where typing on the computer or clicking a mouse is really uncomfortable.

I know that's not exactly what you are going through but it's in the same proximity where it still counts as moral support! lol

But with all lyme symptoms they do eventually go away or at least there's some type of relief. So just hang in there.
