Hi Everyone,
I haven't been here in awhile so just a refresher. . . . my son is 13 and has been sick for about
a year and a half. We did antibiotics for about
a year but since December 2015 have been trying the homeopathic route guided by a naturopath.
His naturopath is recommending a biomat. It seems it will run somewhere between a $1600 to $2000 (mat plus cover or pillow). I think the mat sounds great (yes pricey) but husband thinks that I am willing to spend the money on empty promises.
So the question is, have any of you tried a biomat? If so, what benefits did you see if any? Also, please let me know if you tried it and either found no relief or negative side effects.
Thanks!

Here is a relatively recent thread on biomats.

I also know that better health guy uses one and thinks it made a big difference in his recovery. You can do a site search on his facebook page or go to his website.

I use a biomat (the chair version but lie on it) and I believe it was around $700.00. It isn't as good as the full mat, as I have tried that too. If price is a constraint, then I think it is worth it. I find it very good for soothing my nervous system, hip aches, and then if I increase the temperature, I sweat/detox. When you first start you must go very slowly because it can send you into too much detox and get herxheimer reactions/healing. It makes me very tired and I sleep better and can even fall asleep on it within the first 10 minutes. I think at the worst, most people find it very soothing and calming to a too taxed system. Hope that's helpful.

Thanks EMOTIONAL for your personal experience!
JRPSF I appreciate the link to the previous thread. I had looked yesterday and only came up with a really old one so your help is appreciated. I will check Better Health Guys take on it too.

A friend of mine was able to get a prescript
ion for hers, so she got a decent discount. I can find out where she got it if you're interested.

That's great that her insurance helped with the cost. I'm getting ready to try the mat as part of my treatment. If it is as good as everyone says, I will probably look into purchasing one.

This is where she bought hers. I'd suggest you call him and see if there's a way you could cut the cost some and see if your doctor would prescribe it. Doesn't hurt to ask. :)

I don't think they are worth any where near their cost.
