LLMD in MA or CT

I'm thinking he's not a LLMD - maybe your GP...but just wanted to be safe.

You can email the Tick-Borne Disease Alliance at medicalinfo@tbdalliance.org for LLMD referrals and you can go to tbdalliance.org to learn more about these infections.

You can go to The Lyme Disease Association and search for LLMD's 3 times in a month per email address. You have to register first. Here is the link:

Hope this is helpful but I have no personal references of any of the doctors names on these lists.

Find out if she has any training by ILADS - that will tell you about all you need to know. If the answer is no, it's unlikely that she, as good as she may seem, will have the knowledge to heal you. If she is - you just may want to give her a hug and say thank you! Not many ID doc's are willing to go out on a limb and get ILADS training as it goes against their colleagues and what IDSA (Infectious Disease Society) stands by.

If not, then you will need to use these resources to locate a doctor that doesn't follow IDSA treatment standards.

Here's another way to tell also. Read through these treatment guidelines, if they aren't basically following them, then you need to find a new doctor: www.ilads.org/lyme/treatment-guideline.php

The Dean Center for Tick Borne Illnesses at Spaulding Hospital has been very good for me. They coordinate your care and try to treat the symptoms while you are healing. They have an extensive list of LLMD's they can refer you to. I have been very impressed so far, 3 visits. My Dr. there is a Harvard Professor and researcher. You will be asked to be part of research studies. After seeing 24 MD's in a year it was so wonderful to hear her tell me over the phone before our first visit that I "definitely had Lyme and was very very sick".

She works closely with my LLND by phone and email. She recommends courses of care, but I and my LLND make the final decision.
