So talked to my LLMD today after taking a week off the antibiotics (rifampin/doxy). He wants me to finish up my 10 day regimen of Diflucan and start Planequil/Levaquin. I told him I was worried about the tendon and peripheral neuropathy of the fluoroquinolones and he said their experience with patients on the same protocol is that Vitamin C IV therapy has eliminated these issues. Thought that was interesting so wanted to share with the group. I'm also running out of options for treating Bartonella via abx since i already used Rifampin with Cipro/Biaxin/Doxy. Might add Doxy back in in a month or so.
I'm going to start the Meyer's Cocktail 1x a week and see how it helps. Start new meds on Tuesday. Hoping this is another leg up in getting the little buggers under control!
Would sure like to hear more about
Vitamin C IV preventing or treating side effects. Did he mean C IV prevents side effects or treats side effects or both? I've been taking at least 10 grams of Vit. C a day before and since being floxed with Levaquin and it
hasn't seemed to have had much effect on flox symptoms, but then it's oral and not IV.
