One stop "shop" for eastern Lyme patients in Boston

This is so good to see. I hope many will follow suit.

Astro - Do they actually treat lyme disease...it almost sounds like it is more for rehab, and supportive measures.

I have posted about this several times. I am a patient and have been very happy. They do not directly treat Lyme or prescribe abx. They work closely with your LLMD or help you find one in your area. They clinically diagnose instead of relying on the inaccurate tests. My Dr. has helped me improve specific symptoms while my LLND treats me for the Lyme using herbal protocols. I have not been able to tolerate abx as of yet.The Spaulding Dr. has spoken several times with my LLND and has recommended various treatments.

My worst symptoms are neurological. She prescribed vestibular therapy which has helped me tremendously, I don't fall down anymore! She also referred me to a Neurologist who specializes in Autonomic Nervous System Disorders. He has become an LLMD through his experience in his practice. He found that a large percentage of his patients had Lyme and came to understand that the condition he was treating was a major cause of the condition. I have only met with him once so far and am awaiting some tests prior to beginning treatment.

I strongly recommend that anyone close enough to Boston apply for the program. As I have said in other posts It was such a wonderful feeling to hear a MD tell me I had Lyme after 33 others told me I definitely did not.

Thanks for posting, Shuttergy - I do remember now about your vestibular therapy.

That's great that even though they don't treat for lyme, they are working with your LLMD.
We need more supportive therapy clinics that can help deal with the issues that lyme has caused.
