Question re: Malarone and using CSA to boost

I haven't really been able to find an answer to this online yet so am hoping someone here has done this. I have a feeling RowingMom may have!

DS is pulsing malarone and 800 mg Super Artemisinin (LLMD prescribed this so can't deviate for now) and I would like to know if I can add in Woodland Essence CSA to that (a drop at a time) to further enhance the malarone. I want to make sure it's okay to take artemisinin at the same time with all the herbs in the CSA tincture.

He is on a break and starts back up next week on the malarone/abx, xylitol, etc. If it appears he can do all three (art, malarone and CSA) should I try CSA this week alone to see if he reacts?

Also can CSA work on Babesia by itself too?

He has not had crushing fatigue all summer and has had fewer fevers throughout the day, but still has breathing issues (no better/he has mycoplasma too).

Is he taking Zith or another Rx ABX with the maralone? Its suppose to help prevent building a resistance.

I was taking Mepron/Zith and pulsing Tini while adding in CSA and other herbals. My goal was to wean off all Rx ABX and continue to take only herbals for maintenance. But quickly relapsed.

I use to get my tintures from Woodland as well but I just ordered CSA and Jap Knotweed from SageWomanHerbals and saved some $$$. Check it out, and they have 8 oz bottles that saves even more.

Yes, he is on mino and some other abx off and on, can't remember off the top of my head. Plus Flagyl sporadically.

I had just ordered CSA when I saw that Sage Woman is less!

K didn't do well with artemisinin, it caused her tinnitus to flare, but she did take malarone for about 6 months, along with plaquinel, azithromycin, minocycline and pulsed tindamax. Brutal huh?

With malarone she showed some improvement in cognitive and executive function, but no babesia herxing. The LLMD was hoping that if there was an underlying babesia infection which was hindering her complete recovery from bartonella, that the addition of malarone would do the job.

It didn't. She still had some remaining bartonella symptoms at the time she was weaned from antibiotics.

Buhner's bartonella protocol held her at that 80% level, and it wasn't until we added CSA that she started herxing with babesia symptoms. I didn't even know what they were at the time, they were so new to the both of us.

So K herxed with CSA where she had not with malarone, and after using it for a couple of months (while being on the full bartonella protocol as well) the remaining bartonella symptoms cleared up as well. Red root, another herb Buhner recommends for babesia gave us further improvements.

You won't go wrong with WoodLandEssence. Just be aware that if you switch to Sage Woman the concentrations might be different, so watch the initial dosing after the change.

I was thinking that, too rowingmom. I think it's Sage Woman that has less 'potent' tinctures...?

Thanks! I am going to start today and see if he reacts. He has a pretty sturdy constitution now that it's summer but you never know with the herxing, plus the myriad of other stuff he is on - even during his abx "breaks".

He has a sports camp next week so I may pull back for 1 week and start regularly the following week.
